FESTA MAJOR DE SABADELL - Popular party poster
Briefing: proposal for a poster for the popular festivities of Sabadell 2020.
Every year the city of Sabadell celebrates its popular festivals and opens a contest to determine which will be the poster for each edition: this was my proposal:
I wanted to represent the festive atmosphere of the city during those days, when everyone takes to the streets. Choose to illustrate the key symbols of the city of Sabadell, in this case the shield with an onion, or the more cultural acts, such as "correfocs" or "castellers"; all unified by a fine line in white on dark.
The background black and orange gradient matches the position of the sun (upper left side) in orange. On each side of the "festa major" letering draw a sun and a moon; to unify the festive acts of the day with those of the night.
The characters are onions, the symbol of the city. Some appear doing specific activities, such as playing the drums, doing the "correfoc" or helping in the "casteller"; but others simply walk, observe or stop to talk to others (what really happens if you go out on the streets of Sabadell those days, without exaggeration). One of these characters, in the lower center of the poster, holds a flag, where we can read the dates of the party.
In the footer we leave the corresponding space for the logo of the city council and for other possible organizers or collaborators.
